Meet the hosts.

Fran Murt
Diagnosed with dementia in 2020, Fran has always been a nurse and today uses her experience of living with dementia and medical expertise to speak with university's, hospital staff, and the Alzheimers community to demonstrate that life doesn't end with a diagnosis. Fran's story is one of hope and inspiration - 'we can't control what happens to us, only how we react'. Fran's response to a diagnosis which is devastating to millions, is the primary message of our podcast... 'I will get up, I will live the best life possible, and I am not going to let dementia define me.' A truly remarkable lady with experience in every aspect of what fighting dementia means.

Tom Hinde
Diagnosed in 2018 Tom is keen to share his positive outlook on life & living with dementia. Still working for four hours each day in a pub, whilst completing the odd 20 mile bike ride, Tom brings humour and his positive energy to each episode. Tom is living proof that if you live well, you can live well with dementia.

Leon Rossiter
His Grandad had the disease, and knowing that ADHD means an increased risk of getting it, is keen to learn more about what he can do to prevent a disease that is usually 20 years in the making, with 50% of Dementia's said to be preventable. Over the past 15 years, Leon has been dedicated to using technology in order to better the lives of others. In 2023, Leon & his co-founder Adam started Leafstory, with the idea they could help people with Dementia to tell their life story, bring them closer to family and reminisce. Doing the podcast has inspired Leon & Adam to keep going on their mission to do something special for those living with Dementia.
