Fran Murt
Diagnosed with dementia in 2020, Fran was a senior nurse and today uses her experience of living with dementia and medical expertise to speak at university's, with hospital staff, and engages with the dementia community in order to demonstrate that life doesn't end with a diagnosis.
Fran's story is one of hope and inspiration - 'we can't control what happens to us, only how we react'. Fran's response to a diagnosis which is devastating to millions, is the primary message of our podcast, that I will get up, I will live the best life possible, and I am not going to let dementia define me.
